Jameka is yet to contest a race on a wet track but remains outright $3.90 favourite for success ahead of Godolphin runner Ambience ($4), Sacred Eye ($4.20) and Pasadena Girl ($6.50) with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au.

Will Jameka justify favouritism and win the 2015 Crown Oaks or will one of her talented rivals find the line in the clear?

1st

Pasadena Girl ($6.50)

Group 1 winner Pasadena Girl has produced several impressive efforts at black type level this season, appears as though she will relish the 2500m of the Crown Oaks and is a proven performer on soft conditions. Capping an impressive debut campaign with success in the Group 1 Champagne Stakes (1600m), the Savabeel filly returned this time for second in the Listed Atlantic Jewel Stakes (1200m), and while failing to fire when seventh in the Group 2 Thousand Guineas Prelude (1400m), has since finished fourth in each of the Group 1 Thousand Guineas (1600m) and Group 2 Moonee Valley Vase (2040m). The filly will be particularly hard to beat from barrier 4 with Hugh Bowman aboard.

2nd

Jameka ($3.90)

While it’s unclear how Jameka will perform on a wet track, her class alone and current form is sure to count for a lot in the Crown Oaks this afternoon. Capping a strong autumn campaign with success in the Group 2 VRC Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m), the daughter of Myboycharlie returned this time for consecutive third place finishes in the Atlantic Jewel Stakes and Thousand Guineas Prelude before charging home to second in the Thousand Guineas. Having savaged the line for success in the Moonee Valley Vase last time; beating home the likes of subsequent Victoria Derby winner Tarzino in the process, Jameka is sure to lay a great account for herself in the Crown Oaks.

3rd

Honesta ($11)

Honesta has found great form leading into the 2015 Crown Oaks and offers punters exceptional value for money at $11 for success or $3 to finish in the places. A rising star for Sydney trainer John Thompson, Honesta won a pair of minor races over a mile through August; progressing to second in each of the Group 2 Tea Rose Stakes (1400m), Group 1 Flight Stakes (1600m) and Group 3 Ethereal Stakes (2000m) most recently. With form around some of the country’s best three-year-olds, Honesta will be partnered by Craig Williams this afternoon.
